Game Modes
Beyond the seven-chapter campaign there are ways to play short, long, and with a friend.
Campaign
A seven-chapter story. Move units on the map, send supply trains, and command battles in person or let them resolve automatically.
Difficulty
- Recruit (recommended for first-timers) — Enemies are weaker and less aggressive. Good for learning the game.
- Regular — The war exactly as designed.
- Veteran — The League makes no mistakes. "Veteran" medal.
The Last Line
How long can you hold against endless enemy waves? Pick a supply card every wave and chase your best score.
- Thick Fog — Neither side can hit much in this wave
- Assault Troops — The enemy rushes in at a run — fire early
- Sniper Ambush — Two snipers in the woods — find them and take them down first
- Supply Wagon Convoy — Friendly wagons passing — cover them for ammo
- Cavalry Raid — Enemy cavalry charge twice
Daily Operation
For one day everyone plays the same map with the same luck. The day's operation uses one of these conditions.
- Season of Storms — Downpour operation cards appear often.
- Short on Supply — Starting supply −3.
- Elite League — All League units +12 strength.
- Railway Day — Supply trains cost no command points for the first 3 turns.
- Age of Cavalry — +2 cavalry charges in every battle.
- Clear Skies — All enemy strength is always visible.
Weekly Challenge
A special-rules battle that changes every Monday (Korea time).
- Thin Ranks — Friendly strength −2
- Hasty Orders — Time limit −30s
- Veteran Foes — Enemy accuracy up
- Full Stores, Many Foes — Supplies +60 · Enemy strength +6
- Deep Winter — Snowy field · Shells −1
- Endless Ranks — Enemy strength +5 · Friendly volley +4
Challenge Missions
Short battle puzzles with fixed conditions.
- The Empty-Handed Supply Officer — Start with 0 supplies — seize the way station, grow your income and survive 150 seconds
- A Sapper's Day — Few soldiers, four sappers — build a stronghold from sandbags, tents and hospitals and hold out. If the Command Tent falls, you lose
- Hold the Command Tent — Enemy cavalry keeps going for your tent without rest — if it falls, you lose
- Armored Train Operation — A rail battlefield with plentiful supplies — open the way with an armored train and capture the enemy flag
