Story
Chapter 10 · The Spring Opening
Spring, Railway Year 90. The first spring since the continent's railways were joined into one. Three stations on the lower Silver River — Across-the-River, Zelkova Field and Reedford — are holding their opening ceremonies.
It's the same river as in Chapter 2. Where we once bled to hold a rail bridge, this time we cut ribbons.
Guild holdouts and the spring flood
Holdouts of the now-closed Golden Scale Guild have gathered on Battery Hill. They believe that if the opening ceremonies are ruined, their fare monopoly contract will come back to life.
And the river is rising. The spring rain won't stop, and each turn one riverside track may go under water.
Opening ceremony
Lay track from Willow Station to the three stations and hold it. If a station is still connected when the turn ends, it holds its opening ceremony. Open all three to win. Taking Battery Hill also wins.
Station units on the riverside tracks (Silver Railway Bridge · New Rail Bridge · Riverbank Halt) to hold the levee against the flood.
New rules in this chapter
- 🎀Opening ceremony — If a station is still connected by rail to Willow Station when the turn ends, it holds its opening ceremony. Open all three stations to win. Taking Battery Hill also wins.
- 🌧Spring flood — Each turn, one of your riverside tracks (Silver Railway Bridge · New Rail Bridge · Riverbank Halt) goes under water. A unit stationed there holds the levee.
- ⚖Guild holdouts — Holdouts from Battery Hill have occupied the stations. Track laid next to Kaya's Rebuilding Corps costs no materials.
